Applies to buses connecting Tokushima Prefecture to Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto, and ferries connecting Tokushima and Wakayama. Express buses also include routes that run through the southern and western parts of the prefecture, offering up to 5,000 yen in discounts.

  • Only applies to Tokushima departures and arrivals. (Muroto, Takamatsu, and Matsuyama are not included)

  • Applies only to inbound international travelers.

  • The return travel date for round-trip purchases must be within 10 days for express buses and within 14 days for ferries, including the outbound travel date.

Campaign period 2025.4.13 ~

Once the budget limit is reached, the campaign will be terminated without prior notice.

Common questions

If I don’t go through Tokushima Airport, can I still receive the discount?

No. It is only available to inbound travelers who used Tokushima Airport from overseas or from other prefectures.

If I forget to bring one of the following – a passport, Expo ticket, or proof of having used Tokushima Airport (such as a boarding pass stub) – can I still receive the discount later if I present it afterward?

No. You must present all three of the following items at the designated counter at the same time: (1) Your passport (2) Your Expo ticket (3) Proof that you used Tokushima Airport (for example, a boarding pass stub). Please note that you cannot receive the discount if you bring them later or submit them after the fact.

If a children’s discounted express bus or ferry ticket is purchased during this campaign, will the one-way cost be less than 500 yen?

No. The fare is the same for adults and children (500 yen one-way).

Can discounted tickets be purchased online?

No. Please purchase the discounted ticket in person at the designated counter by presenting the following three items: (1) Your passport (2) Your Expo ticket (3) Proof that you used Tokushima Airport (for example, a boarding pass stub).

Can they be purchased at the ticket counter on the same day?

Yes. However, for express buses, you cannot use the ticket if a seat is unavailable. Also, if the campaign’s budget limit is reached or the campaign period has ended, you will be unable to purchase a discounted ticket.

If service is suspended or canceled due to a typhoon or other weather conditions and I receive a refund for the discounted ticket, can I purchase a discounted ticket again at a later date?

As long as it is within the campaign period and the campaign budget limit has not been reached, you can purchase another discounted ticket at the designated counter by presenting all three required items (passport, Expo ticket, and proof of having used Tokushima Airport).
